Community Guidelines

The standards we expect from everyone on EstateProxy.

Last updated: May 22, 2026

1. Our principles

EstateProxy connects strangers who place real trust in each other. The community works when everyone is honest, respectful, and shows up.

  • Honesty — describe items and conditions truthfully.
  • Respect — treat everyone with courtesy, including estate sale staff and other buyers at the sale.
  • Reliability — be on time, communicate proactively, finish what you started.
  • Care — pack items well and handle other people's belongings as if they were your own.

2. Communication standards

  • Reply to messages within the response time on your profile.
  • Keep messages on-platform — it protects everyone.
  • No solicitation, spam, or off-topic promotion.
  • No harassment, threats, slurs, or sexual content directed at other users.
  • Don't share another user's personal information (address, phone) without consent.

3. Reviews

  • Reviews should describe your direct experience.
  • Don't post reviews you were paid for or that are based on a single message.
  • No retaliatory reviews after a dispute outcome you didn't like.
  • Don't ask buyers to remove or change reviews in exchange for refunds.

4. Fair dealing at the sale

  • Follow the estate company's rules: line, numbering, holds, payment methods.
  • Don't grab items for one buyer if you've already agreed to grab them for another.
  • Don't pressure staff for prices outside the published terms.

5. Consequences

Violations may result in warnings, removed content, withheld payouts, suspended accounts, and bans. See the Acceptable Use Policy for the full list of prohibited conduct.
