Acceptable Use Policy

The items and conduct that are prohibited on EstateProxy.

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") is part of our Terms of Service. Violations can result in removed listings, withheld payouts, account suspension, and referrals to law enforcement.

1. Prohibited items

  • Firearms, ammunition, gun parts, suppressors, and replicas that are illegal to ship
  • Explosives, fireworks, flares, and pyrotechnics
  • Controlled substances, drug paraphernalia, kratom, CBD/THC products
  • Alcohol and tobacco (we don't ship age-restricted goods)
  • Prescription drugs, medical devices, and unapproved supplements
  • Ivory, rhino horn, sea turtle shell, and other CITES-restricted wildlife products
  • Live animals, taxidermy of protected species
  • Hazardous materials (acids, mercury, asbestos, radioactive items)
  • Counterfeits and knock-offs; items that infringe trademarks or copyrights
  • Stolen property, items lacking clear chain of custody
  • Nazi memorabilia, slavery memorabilia, items glorifying violence or hate
  • Human remains and unsanitary body fluids
  • Lock-picking tools intended for unlawful use, skimming devices
  • Adult content, items intended for minors with sexual themes
  • Any item that violates federal, state, or local law in the buyer or scout's location

2. Restricted items (require care)

  • Knives and bladed tools — comply with carrier and destination laws
  • Antique items containing lead, asbestos, mercury, or radium (declare condition; comply with hazmat rules)
  • Lithium batteries — follow carrier hazmat shipping rules
  • Vintage cosmetics, perfumes (often non-shippable air freight)
  • Antique firearms and black-powder items — only where lawful and through appropriately licensed channels
  • Cultural heritage items — provenance must be clear and lawful

3. Prohibited conduct

  • Misrepresenting item condition, brand, age, or authenticity
  • Buying off-platform to evade fees, or asking buyers/scouts to transact outside EstateProxy
  • Manipulating reviews, ratings, or fake jobs
  • Harassment, threats, hate speech, doxxing, or sharing private information without consent
  • Soliciting personal relationships through transactions
  • Using EstateProxy to launder funds or transmit value for unrelated purposes
  • Probing, scraping, or stress-testing the Service without our written permission
  • Uploading malware or attempting to compromise other users' accounts
  • Creating duplicate accounts to evade suspensions

4. Meetup and pickup safety

  • Meet in safe, public, well-lit locations (e.g., police-station "safe exchange" zones) for in-person handoffs.
  • Bring a friend when possible and share your meetup details with someone you trust.
  • Inspect items at the meetup before signing off as received.
  • If anything feels unsafe, leave and report it.

5. Enforcement

Reported violations are reviewed by our trust team. We may remove content, hold payouts, suspend accounts, ban users from the marketplace, refund affected buyers, and report criminal conduct to authorities. We may take action without notice when needed to protect users or the platform.

6. Reporting violations

Use the in-product "Report" menu on any user, message, or item, or email trust@estateproxy.com. Provide as much detail and evidence as you can.
