AI + expert authentication

Authentication & provenance, built into every high-value job

Remote buying only works if you trust the item is real. ProxyPals partners with Arquivis — image-based expert opinions and provenance records — so you can approve luxury goods, watches, jewelry, dolls, coins, and collectibles with confidence.

What "authentication" means here

Arquivis provides an image-based expert opinion and a documented provenance record — not a legal guarantee of authenticity. ProxyPals adds the workflow, evidence capture, escrow-style payment hold, dispute process, and payout release timing.

Authentication risk tiers

Tier 0 — General estate goods
Examples
Furniture, glassware, books, garden, décor
Review workflow
Standard photo proof by your Pal. No authentication required.
Tier 1 — Moderate resale risk
Examples
Mid-tier jewelry, art prints, mid-century furniture
Review workflow
AI resale estimate + Pal condition notes + your live approval.
Tier 2 — High-risk branded goods
Examples
Handbags, sneakers, premium dolls, coins, trading cards
Review workflow
Arquivis pre-purchase photo review recommended. Structured photo checklist enforced before your approval.
Tier 3 — High-value / high-counterfeit-risk
Examples
Luxury watches, fine jewelry, designer handbags over $2,500
Review workflow
Mandatory authentication hold before payout. Tamper-evident packaging, enhanced insurance, signature delivery, permanent provenance record.

How authentication fits into the buyer flow

1
Pre-purchase scan
Pal uploads the structured photo checklist. Arquivis returns a low / moderate / high / inconclusive risk read before you approve.
2
Live approval
You see the risk read, AI resale range, and comparable prices side-by-side with the Pal's photos before authorizing the purchase.
3
Post-purchase hold
On Tier 3 items your payout releases only after Arquivis returns its expert opinion and you complete inspection.
4
Provenance record
Delivered items include a permanent provenance record with receipt, serials, condition photos, and the Arquivis opinion ID.

Frequently asked

Is Arquivis a legal certification?

No. It is an image-based expert opinion and provenance record. It is strong evidence for our Resolution Center and for downstream resale, but it is not a certificate of authenticity in the trademark or appraisal sense.

What is the turnaround?

Pre-purchase scans target under 15 minutes during live sale hours. Post-purchase holds target under 24 hours for Tier 2 and under 72 hours for Tier 3.

What does it cost?

Pre-purchase scans start at $15. Post-purchase holds start at $45. Full provenance certificates start at $95. Use the calculator above for a per-request estimate.

What if the opinion says counterfeit or misrepresented?

Your Pal is instructed to pass. If the item was already purchased, funds stay in the payment hold and the Resolution Center opens a case with the Arquivis opinion attached to the dispute packet.
